Purple Cow

Hello interwebs! Nice to meet you. My name is Justin and I'm a 33 year-old professional civil engineer, fitness buff, amateur photographer, dancer, gay mormon, skier living in Seattle. I'm starting this blog as my 2013 New Years resolution for the following two reasons: 1) I'm awful at writing/journaling and I think there is value in doing so, and 2) my mind is stagnating and I need some mental self-stimulation. Now, I'm not going to make a promise I can't keep, so I'm not going to say that I'm writing in this thing every day. But I will make an attempt to regularly record my experiences, thoughts, fantasies, likes, dislikes, fears, triumphs, and general ramblings. I'm afraid it will be nothing terribly insightful. But my hope is that it will, over time, paint a unique portrait of who I am.

So, let's get started with something that impressed me this weekend... a TED talk about getting your ideas to spread! I really like the parable of the purple cow!
